Pathe films:
We have chosen Pathe films as our distributor as they have helped to distribute other independent films. One example is the epic independent film 'The Blair Witch Project' (1999) which created realism through unknown actors and hand held camera work. The actors in fact played themselves to save money and make their story appear more 'true'. Another film is 'Creep' (2004) the low budget is demonstrated through the majority of locations being in London, comparing this to a Blockbuster which uses several locations worldwide. Likewise, 'Creep' used unknown actors to enhance realism. Pathe is one of the UK's leading film distirbutors. Pathe distribution releases around 20titles each year, ranging from quality and specialised films to crowd-pleasing mainstream movies and genre titles.

City Screen Limited

Formed in 1989 to challenge the multiplex cinema model and provide cinemas that serve their communities in city centre locations, they are now leading independent cinema operator and the fourth largest in the UK. Independent, art-house and foreign langauge films have always been central to their profile. It would be great to have our film shown here because the audiences expect to see innovative and independent films.

Facebook advertising
A facebook ad can target around 200,000,000 active users. This can be done through a facebook page, application, group or event. It is incredibly quick and easy to set up, and targets thousands within minutes.

Myspace advertising
Similarly to Facebook, Myspace adverts can also reach hundreds in minutes. You can target certain Myspace users and you only have to pay when your advert is clicked, however it does not necessarily mean that only people who have clicked your advert will remember it.

Portobello film festival

This is a free festival event for audiences, and anyone can apply for the event. It was created to provide a forum for new film-makers and give exposure to movies on different formats. Many of the previously out-on-a-limb directors have since been recognized by the big fish in the industry. The festival has been dubbed 'the wild side of brit Film' (metro), 'this pioneering film festival' (Evening Standard), 'the biggest celebration of independent film in Europe' (The independent), and 'London's biggest filimic free-for-all' (Time Out). That the Portobello Film Festival shows tomorrow's films today is evident in the number of ideas first presented here that regularly crop up in the mainstream.

Leeds International film festival
The film festival once again challenges the stereotype of the cinematic experience by utilising a number of alternative venues around the city. In addition to traditional cinemas they use venues including Leeds Art Gallery, The Adelphia, Town Hall and the Hi-Fi Club. There are restaurants etc at the festival, tickets cost £70.
